Life throws all of us into the pool at one point or another -- Kristin shows us how to move beyond thrashing around, keeping afloat or waiting for rescue. She reminds us to breathe carefully and swim on our own power, with faith, purpose and delight in our accomplishments.

In 40 years of teaching and counseling aspiring high-schoolers, Kristin Duquette tops my list of greats. In her, I find a dynamic combination of philosopher, scholar and athlete bursting within her unconquerable spirit and insatiable desire to ignite others to believe a simple truth___"Believe in your God-given self and never stop!"
Joseph W. Duffy, M.A., M.S., M.A.; Karate Sensei Nidan

Kristin came to speak to our students at Mercy High - Spring/"09. What an inspiration! We still have her picture up in many of our classrooms to inspire our students--all of whom are young women. The students and faculty found her to be an excellent speaker with lots of energy and a beautiful way of using the struggles in her life to en"courage" others. some of our swimmers already knew her or of her and were so glad to meet her. I would recommend this amazing young woman to speak in just about any venue--please call if you need a more personal description.

She is a shining inspiration to all those who want to compete in any sport. Her drive and determination are highlighted in every step of her inspiring journey. I am privileged to be a part of it.

I’ve come across many ‘challenged athletes’ in my years of competition and advocacy. There are always a few who clearly stand out above the rest. Kristin is one of these gems. She is a warrior athlete with an incredible ability to communicate and inspire. Few athletes have her passion for sport, professionalism, and deep desire to share with the world. She is a gifted athlete with golden potential. It is an honor to have her as a friend.
